S&R Sewing & Vacuum Center 2019 Class Policies:

We make every effort to host classes that are fun and informative for everyone. To ensure it is a pleasant experience for everyone we must provide you with guidelines for us and guidelines for you. Please read through the rules below because some have changed.

  • Every class will have a class sign-up deadline. That deadline is one (1) week prior to the class date. One week prior to a class we will determine if that class has met minimums in order to have the class. If you see a class is less than ONE week and you have not signed up, please call the store to find out if that class has met minimum attendees.
  • Class instruction notes, designs used in class and kits are prepared for those that sign up before the one-week deadline. 1-week gives the teacher time to prepare the kits for everyone that has signed up for class. If you did not sign up at least 1-week prior we will make every effort to accommodate you. However, you may have to prepare you own kit. There will be no reduction in class fee for that occurrence. No kits, designs, note will be saved if you did not show-up or come to class.
  • No refund of a class fee will be given if cancellation of less than one week notice is given.
  • No refunds on events. Deadlines on event sign-ups are 2-weeks prior to the event because we must turn attendance into the company we have booked the event with. They have to prepare and ship the kits to us therefore; they need to know 2 weeks prior to the event date to prepare for you to be there. If you sign up less than 2 weeks prior we cannot guarantee that you will receive your free gift or kit.
  • Be on-time or early to class for less disruption of other’s class time.
  • Cell phones off or vibrate and should the need arise to take a call, exit the classroom before taking the call.
  • No perfumes or scents in the classroom. Many people are sensitive, some have asthma and scents can trigger an attack.
  • If the roads have weather issues or they are closed check the webpage before heading to the store for class for further instruction.
  • Always! Check the webpage or your email (or both) for a list of things you will need to bring to class. An email is always sent to those that have signed up. We need an email address when you sign up. Please check your email if you signed up for a class at least the day before. If you have NOT received an email assume something needs to be taken care of and call the store.
  • Read: This is our best communication tool. It is our commitment to you that we will list all supplies needed on all classes and it will be posted on the webpage where you sign up for classes. By using this method you will not get to class without what you should have brought with you. If in doubt about an item, call us and we will help you.
  • If you are sick, coughing, sneezing, fever please do not come to share with everyone. We know it’s hard to stay home and get well and not much fun missing a class, we know you do not want others to go through the same thing, miss work and spread it to their family.

Thank you!
